Amazon is Australia's biggest spending podcast advertiser, according to ARN’s iHeart using data from Magellan AI.
The report is based on analysing thousands of episodes from more than 400 of Australia’s most popular podcasts in the September quarter.
Spending on Australian podcast advertising grew by 33% year on year compared to same three months in 2021.
Advertising spend across the TV & Film category grew by 285%. Other podcast genres to grow included History (up 115%), True Crime (up 91%), and Sports (up 62%).
