
TikTok, the short form video social media platform, is keen to hear from local Australian staff who've lost their jobs at other platforms, including Twitter and Meta.
Laura Chuck, head of people & culture, TikTok AUNZ, on LinkedIn: "The tech industry is suffering immensely across many different sectors in the last few weeks.
"Reaching out to anyone who may have been affected by the recent lay-offs at Meta, Twitter and many others. My heart goes out to all of you, especially at this time of year.
"TikTok is still growing and if you are ready for a fresh new start at an exciting platform, we would love for you to apply to one of our roles."
The Australian part of TikTok's career page shows 16 jobs available now.
Twitter has reduced its staff in Australia to a handful in sales. Those gone include the content curation team.
Meta, the parent of facebook, also hs been subject to job cuts.
