Paul Swann has joined full-service indie shop Thinkerbell as its executive creative Tinker – Sydney.
Swann joins from The Works where he was creative dartner for seven years and later added managing partner to his remit.
Prior to The Works, he held roles included Naked Communications head of ideas and was also a media planner for Publicis-owned agency Zenith.
“Having Paul join the Sydney team is beyond exciting. We’re building something special here as we continue to dissolve the boundaries between paid, owned and earned media, and of course between creative and media thinking," Thinkerbell managing partner Margie Reid says.
"Paul’s background as a heavyweight creative, with someone who understands context is brilliant. He also happens to be a lovely bloke.”
Swann will be joining Catherine King as part of the management team of Thinkerbell Sydney. The Sydney office of Thinkerbell has several clients including Royal Caribbean, Accor Hotels, The NRL, Lion Beer and IAG.
Thinkerbell practices measured magic, and is currently AdNews Creative Agency of the Year.
"I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone at The Works for what’s been an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding seven years. It really is a great place to work and while I’m sad to leave I’m equally excited about a new challenge at Thinkerbell," Swann says.
"You can’t help but be impressed with their trajectory over the last couple of years and the philosophy of ‘measured magic’ and bringing creative and media back together very much appeal to me."
