Independent creative agency The Royals has added senior creative duo Nick Cole and Pat Allenby to the team.
The creative team were responsible for the Uber Eats Australian Open Ambush campaign which saw them awarded at every major award show and recently taking out the Innovative Use of Media award at AdNews Agency of the Year.
They will work out of the Sydney office.
“The Royals have all of the things we like to be surrounded by – nice people, hungry clients, inspiring leadership and a few beers in the fridge," Allenby says.
"We’re very excited to join the team and give it our all.”
Cole says he is "stoked" to be joining the agency.
"Not only are they all super talented, they’re a really lovely group of people as well," Cole says.
"We’re really keen to help keep building the momentum here and make some solid work along the way.”
They’ve also worked on campaigns that have seen them encourage AFL players to wrestle in lettuce, get a little too intimate with the world’s best cricketers, make the fittest people give up fitness, and have an attractive cartoon horse educate punters about responsible gambling.
The Royals executive creative director Seb Vizor welcomed the duo to the agency.
“I couldn’t be happier to welcome Nick and Pat to The Royals. They’re among the most talented creatives working in Australian advertising right now, and they’re top guys to boot," Vizor says.
"Their work inherently captures culture, which has created work that people actually want to watch and engage in, so they’ll be a great fit for each of our clients’ businesses, from Coopers all the way to Coates Hire.”
The new appointments come hot on the heels of the Coopers Brewery account win and the agency taking out the Employer of the Year (Headcount Under 75) award at the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards.
