The Interview Before the Interview has launched to help creatives prepare for job interviews.

The platform serves up a randomly generated series of questions from notable chief creative officers, executive creative directors and creative directors, keeping would-be interviewees on their toes.

The project was dreamed up by Katyana O’Neill, Emma Leamore and Pierce Thomson.

“It’s a funny irony that many of the creative talents who are great at selling brands and products can be terrible at selling themselves,” Leamore says.

Leamore, originally from the UK, is an award-winning copywriter who has worked in both London and Sydney.

For the past four and a half years she's been at The Monkeys, where she picked up a D&AD wood pencil for her work with UNICEF.

O’Neill is an Australian-born art director who has worked for independent agencies in Australia and NZ, and most recently worked The Monkeys, while Thomson has recently joined creative collective, The Glue Society.

The platform has already attracted the support of some world-class creative leaders.

“We’ve had a brilliant response. The generous creative leaders who have contributed are responsible for all of the insightful, thought-provoking and occasionally sweat-inducing questions on the site," O'Neill says.

"We cannot thank them enough.”

This contribution to the creative community also features a hire function, linking creative directors and recruiters with creatives looking for a role.
