Come and Say G’day is Tourism Australia's biggest global campaign in six years, via M&C Saatchi.

The hero of the campaign is a new amabassador, a souvenir kangaroo called Ruby, voiced by Australian actress Rose Byrne, who teams with a toy unicorn, Louie, voiced by Arrested Development actor Will Arnett.

The campaign comes with a short film, explaining the backstory of the two main characters.

Michel Gracey, director of G'day: "I initially got shown the script for what I thought was the most brilliant concept of a 'roo souvenir called Ruby who has never been outside her box let alone outside the store

“This was her one opportunity to go around Australia with the help of a little unicorn.

“For me, the really appealing narrative aspect of this is that we were telling a story that is longer than just 60 seconds.

“You really get to know these characters. You really do go on a journey because it is a little buddy film.”
