The Iconic presents same-day delivery to competitors

Christmas shopping. Two words that send a shiver down men’s spines, make women irascible and send shopping centres everywhere into chaos. If only we could sit at home and shop online without the fear that our purchases will be sitting on a dock somewhere in Iceland come Christmas day.

The Iconic has considered this and is offering free same evening delivery throughout the Christmas period, right up to Christmas Eve. The offer comes at a time when online retailers are experiencing high traffic, facing a large number of retailers, competitive prices and similar product offerings, the Iconic is setting itself apart from the rest.

Last year the Iconic experienced one of its highest traffic spikes just before lunchtime on Christmas Eve- demonstrating that it’s true that all men leave their Christmas shopping until the day before. Rookie error.

The quick delivery service is a drawcard for many customers to the Iconic. Despite its slightly higher price tags, the fast and reliable delivery keeps customers coming back.

Patrick Schmidt, CEO of the Iconic, said: “Customers are increasingly heading online to ease the annual stress that accompanies Christmas prep.  We believe there are far better ways to spend your December weekends than standing in queues at the local shopping centre, so this holiday season we're offering free same evening delivery right through to Christmas Eve in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.”

In order to receive free evening delivery customers need to have their orders in by 11:30am and the total has to be above $125. For orders below that, the delivery service will cost $9.95.

Schmidt said: “While we've always been known for innovations like three-hour delivery to Sydney and Melbourne, the heightened convenience of shopping from your home or mobile device during the jam-packed holiday season and receiving your order that day is sure to delight consumers across Australia."
