Seven's The Force: Behind the Line

Police enforcement is popular and it helped Channel Seven to a narrow win over Channel Nine last night.

While The Block again came out on top for Channel Nine beating its nearest competitor by about 340,000 viewers, Channel Seven's crime documentary duo of The Force: Behind the Line and Border Security rated at number two and seven, respectively according to the premlinary overnight OzTAM figures.

Interestingly, The Force only put up an extra 50,000 metro viewers accross the country from last week, but fewer people were watching news programs, partially explaining the uplift from The Force's number seven spot last week to this week's number two.

Meanwhile, the other spot of interest for the night was how Network Ten's drama Wonderland held up from week to week.

Renewed for a second season, the show didn't figure in the OzTAM top 20 for the evening with 443,000 metro viewers, down slightly on last week's premiere number of 459,000.

However Network Ten promoted the performance of the program on its timeshift platform, TenPlay. The drama was the second-most time-shifted program for the night behind Channel Seven's Criminal Minds.

Overall, Seven won the night with 31.7% share, over Nine's 30.2%.

The ABC took a 16.7% share of viewers marginally beating Ten's 16.5%.
