The first live round of UnLtd’s Big Game esports event had 24 industry teams battle it out live on Twitch in a game of Rocket League
The matches, on Tuesday, May 12, were fierce and highly competitive with Carat, ACM and MediaCom showing strong form
The virtual event had more than 600 people from the industry tune in to watch the games with entertaining sledging going on in chat.
Rod Hudson from REA, in the chat stream: "OMD needs testing for steroids."
Best team chant for the day goes to titan7a for his chant in ARN v Nine game of: "Go! GO! A-R-N - beat a Nine and score a 10!!!"
Teams going through to the next round: Carat, Mediacom, PHD, OMD, Val Morgan, Nine, Quantcast, The Trade Desk, ACM, Verizon, Nova, Seven West Network.
The winning team gets a "money can’t buy" prize donated by Twitch. There is also a prize for best supporting team coming up with the best virtual chant.
The funds from the event will go towards UnLtd’s work supporting charities helping children and young people at risk.
