Curtis to head up AdNear

Cameron Curtis is heading to AdNear, given the task of spearheading its data and marketing partnerships in the Australia-New Zealand region as its general manager. Curtis has 20 years of experience in the Australian digital landscape, including stints at The Sydney Morning Herald, Allure Media, Tapit and Booodl.

Guvera hits 10 million users
Australian owned ad-funded music streaming service Guvera has grown its user base from 1.5 million to 10 million in 18 months. In that time it launched in India and acquired UK streaming platform Blinkbox which added 2.5 million users. It also partnered with Lenovo to preload the app onto smartphone and tablet devices.

Siren Awards goes low key 
Commercial Radio Australia is taking a low-key approach to its 2015 The Siren Awards for the best radio ad, calling out the winners in single, craft and campaign, at a drinks reception in Sydney.
