The Block on top: adman Mitchell on 60 Minutes

Nine's reality series The Block has topped the Sunday ratings, picking up 1.14 million viewers according to overnight figures from OzTam.

The series also picked up the top spot by demographic, leading the pack in the 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 age brackets.

Nine's 60 Minutes was the fifth most watched program of the night, with 886,000 viewers. Last night's episode featured advertising veteran Harold Mitchell speaking about his lucrative stake in the cattle business.

Seven's Beach Cops picked up 730,000 viewers as the seventh most watched show of the evening, despite not being aired in Perth due to a telethon. It was followed by Quantico as the eighth most watched show on 625,000 viewers.

Meanwhile Ten's TBL Families slid into the top 10 on 536,000 viewers.

Nine won the night on 31.2% of the total audience, just ahead of Seven on 31.0%. Ten picked up 17.1% of the audience followed by the ABC on 13.9% and SBS on 6.7%
