The Block reigned supreme once again, while there was a second dose of Dancing With the Stars and a season premiere of NCIS: New Orleans to get excited about last night.

The behemoth rennovating show managed to top the ratings once again, pulling in 1.39 million metro viewers for the night, according to OzTAM's preliminary overnight figures.

Meanwhile, Dancing With The Stars' second outing didn't light up the dancefloor as much as its debut. Just 882,000 people tuned in this week, a 15.5% fall on the 1.04 million strong audience its debut pulled in in metro areas last week.

However, it was Seven's highest rating non-news show for the evening.

Meanwhile for Network Ten, while a new episode of NCIS managed to pull in 788,000 to rank inside the top ten metro shows for the night, 633,000 of those viewers stuck around for the season premiere of new version NCIS: New Orleans.

TV ratings for Tuesday, October 7

Overall Nine carried the night with a 30.2% share followed by Seven with a 28.5% rating. Ten managed to pull in 21.2% of viewers while the ABC attracted a 15.3% share while SBS pulled in a 4.8% share.
