Venetian Media Group (VMG)’s out-of-home agency Revolution360 has achieved an Australian market first, transforming billboards into mini football ovals.
Ideated and implemented by 360Create, Revolution360’s new creative solutions division, the special build for the AFL features artificial turf attached to advertising sites.
The team used spray paint to stencil messaging on, as they would on the hallowed turf of the MCG during the AFL Finals.
Josh Fitzgerald, Revolution360 national sales director, said this is the space in which 360Create shines.
"After seeing an increasing demand for bespoke special builds that create impact, we decided to invest in additional creative resources to assist us in servicing this growing end of the market," he said.
"Our client focused approach is what sets us apart and I look forward to showcasing the next big campaigns coming up soon.”
Revolution360 sites on Punt Road and Swan Street were selected because of their proximity to the MCG during the Preliminary Finals and Grand Final.
Fitzgerald said Melbourne comes alive during September with the buzz of the AFL Finals, so we were thrilled to work with the AFL to bring something new to market in the out-of-home space.
VMG is the Australian-owned media company behind Revolution360 that also houses full-service marketing agency, Yakkazoo, billboard company, Captive Vision Outdoor, sports management agency, Aspire Talent Group, media planning and buying agency, Frontier Media and digital agencies, Sillyfish and Digital Native.
