Network Ten has promoted Louise Barrett to the new role of executive general manager, Sydney.
Barrett was previously Network Ten's chief sales officer, a role she held since March 2013. She will be reporting to Ten CEO Paul Anderson in her new role.
Anderson said the new role coincided with the start of the sales representation agreement between Ten and the Multi Channel Network (MCN), which came into effect as of 1 September.
“Louise and her sales team at Ten have produced outstanding results this year in terms of revenue and share growth, and she will continue that great contribution in her new position,” Anderson said.
“The alliance of MCN and Ten gives advertisers a new way to reach consumers across all video content distribution platforms and to bring their brands and ideas to life across multiple media.”
In her new role Barrett will continue to manage and build relationship between Ten and its advertisers and will work closely with MCN. She will also oversee Ten's commercial integration division which works with advertiser’s and MCN's multiply division to crate bespoke, innovate integration ideas.
Barrett said: “By joining forces with MCN, Ten has gained scale, new efficiencies, improved data capability and broader integration opportunities for our clients.
“The media business is largely built on relationships and I will be focusing on making Ten’s already strong advertiser relationships deeper and more effective.”
