The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) has appointed Melbourne-based independent agency TABOO as its creative agency partner.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch process and marks a pivotal juncture in ACCA's journey as it embarks on redefining its brand design systems while gearing up to commemorate its 40-year legacy in 2023.
ACCA's mission is to cultivate an artistic platform that fosters the creation of new, audacious, and experimental works which challenges thinking while igniting fresh perspectives that resonate with and deeply connect to the diverse communities it serves.
In this pursuit, ACCA has engaged TABOO to refresh its visual identity, serving as the foundation for future creative endeavours.
Max Delany, artistic director and CEO of ACCA, said ACCA is excited to be working with the team at TABOO towards the renewal of the visual identity and design strategy.
"TABOO’s commitment to research, innovation, inclusion and cultural impact, along with its extensive cultural networks, align happily with ACCA’s vision, mission and values, and we are excited to embark on this creative partnership," he said.
James Mackinnon, MD of TABOO, said the agency considers it a huge honour to embark on this creative journey with Delany and the team and contribute to the legacy of ACCA.
"Our agency thrives on collaborating with progressive, imaginative, and adventurous clients, and ACCA really is the epitome of these qualities. We’re incredible excited to align our brands to champion and propel Australian creativity," he said.
