Low body confidence is behind girls quitting sport, according to Hard Knocks, a Super Bowl commercial from Dove.
"45% of girls are quitting sports – and low body confidence is the #1 reason why," says Dove about its teaser, via Ogilvy, for the big game.
"We teamed up with @nike to create the Body Confident Sport program – our free, evidence-based tool, designed to help sports coaches support girls on their teams, build their body confidence and keep them in the game."
CBS, this year's broadcaster of the Super Bowl, has reportedly been selling 30 second commercial spots ranging from $US6.5 million to $7 million.
Last year's broadcaster, Fox, pulled in nearly $US600 million in ad dollars from the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl LVIII, with an audience of more than 100 million, is being held in Las Vegas February 11.
