Super Bowl 2023 - Big on Seven and 7plus

The Seven Network’s live and free coverage of Super Bowl LVII was a hit with fans, reaching 1.68 million people nationally on Monday.

7plus’ live stream of America’s biggest sporting event smashed the previous audience record set in 2022, up 50% year-on-year with 16.05 million minutes streamed.

Seven’s full coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs’ dramatic 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles recorded an average total audience of 558,000 nationally, including 66,000 viewers on 7plus.

The television audience was up 7% on last year in Sydney and up 23% in regional markets, Broadcast viewing peaked at 775,000 on Channel 7 during the halftime show, headlined by pop music superstar Rihanna, in her first live performance since 2018.

The Super Bowl streamed more live minutes than any other program yesterday, with 7plus recording a 47% commercial share in live streaming on Monday.
