Tonight's State of Origin clash has dominated the front pages of News Corp's papers, including The Daily Telegraph, The Courier-Mail and the Herald Sun.
The Tele focused on reminding readers that this year's new line-up and coach were NSW's “Blue Hope”, a play on the Star Wars film, A New Hope.
The Courier Mail reminded its readers of the “grand tradition of humiliating The Blues”, pointing out that on this day 159 years ago Queensland separated from NSW.
Melbourne, where tonight's first Origin clash will take place, also made sure the rivalry got some front page love.

9Now will, for the first time, be hosting five live separate streams across all three games.
This year’s State of Origin series will also be the first time Nine has had the digital rights to broadcast the games.
The network is continuing to place further investment on its video-on-demand (VOD) platform, offering a main stream, accompanied by four different angles.
Earlier this month, Nine head of sales of sport, Matt Granger, told AdNews Nine was confident in the decision to move the second game of the series to Sunday night and hopes it will deliver a broader audience for the network.
