Starcom Melbourne has retained the Snooze media account following a competitive review against Bohemia.
Snooze is owned by the Steinhoff retail group account, which appointed Bohemia in September 2017 to its other brands, which include Freedom, Fantastic Furniture, Harris Scarfe brands and more. It later picked up Plush alongside stablemate M&C Saatchi in June this year.
AdNews understands Steinhoff was considering consolidation within its portfolio but ultimately reappointed Starcom, which has held the account for more than a decade.
Starcom says it will work with Snooze to deliver “innovative ideas that differentiate the brand in a category that is undergoing significant change”.
“Starcom has been a trusted partner for over 10 years and we are pleased that this relationship is continuing," Snooze managing director Simon Beaty says.
“We look forward to working with the team at Starcom to grow the Snooze brand and deliver exceptional customer experiences."
The Steinhoff group globally has faced bankrupcy and is being investigated for financial irregularities. In a bid to separate itself from its the global backlash, Steinhoff International's Australian business has recently changed its name to Greenlit Brands and secured new bank funding.
Greenlit Brands recently appointed former The Good Guys boss Michael Ford as its CEO to lead the overhaul of the business, which could see it IPO or sell of some assets to Nick Scali.
