Current managing director of media agency Starcom Sydney, Annick Perrin, has been poached by Macquarie Radio Network (MRN), with her move effective December 7. Starcom's client services director Toby Barbour has been promoted and will take on the role as Starcom MD.
As head of agency sales Sydney, at MRN, Perrin's role will see her take responsibility for leading and growing the Sydney agency sales team to bring a further depth of talent and senior-level strategic thinking to the MRN agency team.
Perrin said: "People who know me might say I'm a little competitive. I'm going to put myself to the test in a new environment and I'm thrilled to be going to work with an experienced and creative team at Macquarie Radio Network."
MRN National agency sales director, Nick Randall, said: “We are thrilled to have someone the calibre of Annick join the MRN agency sales team.
"She brings a wealth of experience and leadership skills from the media agency sector and has worked closely with some of the country’s biggest advertisers. Annick’s long-standing client and agency team relationships are exceptional and she will be key to MRN growing its share of agency revenue.”
Starcom MediaVest Group announced the appointment of Toby Barbour as its Sydney managing director, effective December 4, 2015.
Barbour has been SMG’s client services director for the past two years.
“I am absolutely thrilled to work alongside Chris Nolan to lead the Sydney team and drive the agency focus on continuing to create meaningful experiences for our clients’ brands," he said.
SMG Australia described Barbour as passionate about strategy, brand and customer integration with extensive experience leading and building high-performance teams. Prior to joining SMG he held marketing and sales management positions, including GM Consumer Marketing at Sony.
SMG Australia CEO Chris Nolan said of the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Toby to the Sydney leadership role. He will be an invaluable addition and has already done fantastic work for the agency and our clients over the last two years.
