Streaming platform Stan, with less than two months until the Paris Olympics, has revealed eight international/multi language live channels.
The coverage comes from the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Greece and Italy (Eurosport), India (Viacom 18) and New Zealand (Sky New Zealand).
This marks the first time international channels, including non-English options, have been offered to Australian audiences for the Olympics.
There will be a choice between 40 individual sport channels, covering every event ad-free, live and on demand, with 4K Ultra HD; four feature channels; the eight international/multi-language channels; and 24/7 Olympics news.
Rounding out Stan Sport’s Paris 2024 offering will be Olympics Daily and Paris Preview, morning review and evening preview shows bookending each day and airing at 7am and 2pm AEST throughout all 16 days of competition.
A new lineup of sports-focused documentaries airing in the lead up to the Olympics includes the recently announced Stan Original documentary Trailblazers, starring Sam Kerr, Steph Catley and Mary Fowler, which captures the rise of women’s football in Australia.
Other sports documentaries will also be available on Stan including Freeman, exploring Cathy Freeman's Gold medal win at Sydney 2000, Kipchoge: The Last Milestone, I Am Bolt, I Am Ali and Foreman.
Stan CEO Martin Kugeler said 2024 will be the biggest year of sport for Stan.
“Due to our unique live and on demand offering we will make sure Australian sport fans can watch every epic moment from Paris 2024 when and where they want. Our fantastic lineup of some of the biggest sporting legends will provide expert commentary, insights and analysis," he said.
“As part of the Nine group, Stan together with the 9Network and 9Now will bring Paris 2024 to every fan in Australia. To deliver the world’s most prestigious sporting event just three years after launching Stan Sport is a testament to the ambition, passion and dedication of the team at Stan.”
