Influencer marketing business Social Soup has launched a AI-powered influencer verification technology and advanced barcode scanning to drive in-store product trials.
Scan & Collect bridges the gap between digital communication and physical action for influencers and social creators. It was developed to streamline and authenticate campaign activity, and has already been used for brands including Simply Chips, Ovaltine Sleep and Dolce & Gabbana.
Consumers go to specific in-store locations and using the Scan & Collect technology, the product and location are verified, unlocking payments and vouchers. This creates a large network of people with real-life product experiences.
Sharyn Smith, Social Soup founder and director, said the technology is a game-changer for her business and for her client’s campaign outcomes.
“When people see, hear, touch or feel something first-hand, they are far more likely to buy it and advocate for it. Scan & Collect makes it easier to not only get products and product trial in the hands of influencers and consumers, but to authentically track, communicate and report on these transactions," Smith said.
“The backbone of our system is our state-of-the-art technology, coupled with our cutting-edge fraud detection technology, we deliver dependable, real-time scan rates and KPIs. This innovative blend of technology, strategy, and authenticity is what makes Scan & Collect such an innovation in influencer marketing."
