Snap doubled its active advertisers in the December quarter and lifted revenue 14% to $US1.557 billion.

Daily active users increased 9% to 453 million compared to the same three months last year.

“In 2024 we made significant progress on our core priorities of growing our community and improving depth of engagement, driving top line revenue growth and diversifying our revenue sources, while building toward our long-term vision for augmented reality,” said CEO Evan Spiegel.

“Active advertisers more than doubled in Q4, with the improvements we have made to our advertising platform driving improved advertiser performance and helping to grow revenue 14% year-over-year.”

Despite growth in active advertisers, the company said the ramp-up period for new advertisers to reach full revenue potential remains a challenge, impacting overall revenue growth.

For the year to December, revenue was up 16% to $5.361 billion.
