Instant messaging platform Slack has called out its competitor Microsoft for creating an ad that looks similar to its own work.
In a tweet, the company shows a series of its ads, released from April this year, followed by Microsoft’s The Art of Teamwork, released in November, which resembles Slack’s.
The tweet was simply captioned ‘ok boomer’ - a phrase that’s risen in popularity to dismiss outdated attitudes, particularly those coming from baby boomers.
Slack’s ad, created by Giant Ant, shows balls rolling around a plain surface, which is mimicked in Microsoft’s campaign.

It’s not the first time Slack has publicly addressed Microsoft.
Earlier this year it took out a full-page ad in The New York Times to offer Microsoft, which was about to release a direct “Slack competitor” Microsoft Teams, "advice".
That feeling when you think "we should buy a full page in the Times and publish an open letter," and then you do. 💫 pic.twitter.com/BQiEawRA6d
