Sky News Australia last year achieved its highest audience share across its multiplatform offering of linear broadcast channels, free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, and digital platforms.

Sky News ranked as the #1 non-sport channel and #1 weekday channel on subscription television provider Foxtel in 2024, delivering a record audience share with average audiences up +4% year-on-year.

Regional free-to-air viewers of Sky News Regional helped the linear broadcast channel deliver its highest ever audience share, growing its average audience by +18%.

FAST TV channel Sky News Now increased its viewership by +142% year-on-year, while Sky News digital platforms also achieved a record year, delivering more than two billion video views.

Sky News Australia CEO Paul Whittaker said as the core broadcast audience grew in 2024, so too did viewership to the network's digital platforms.

“We delivered record audience share and strong year-on-year growth across our linear broadcast platforms, while diversifying our content distribution through the launch of the SkyNews.com.au Streaming Subscription, expansion of our FAST TV channel Sky News Now and the launch of Sky News Radio on DAB digital radio in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane," he said.

"More and more Australians are turning to Sky News for our live and in-depth coverage and informed and diverse views on the issues they care about.”
