Martin Sorrell, the founder of pure-play digital advertising group S4 Capital, is recovering from surgery after being diagnosed with cancer.
Sir Martin, in a note to staff, says he is continuing to work but will reduce travel after successful keyhole surgery in February to remove a tumour.
"I have made an excellent recovery, and, as you would expect, I have sought the best possible medical advice," he wrote.
"My conclusion is that I should have preventative treatment over the coming months.
"My doctors have advised me that during this treatment, I should be able to work as normal most of the time, fully engaging with the company and our excellent executive team, although I have also decided to reduce my travel schedule for a few weeks.
"Otherwise, business as usual. Thank you as ever for your continued support and let me know how to help you in any way I can."
