Marketing data and technology business Foxcatcher has hired Varun John as head of trading as part of its continued growth, led by managing director David Gaskill.
John's remit is to shape the Foxcatcher programmatic capabilities and develop solutions for clients and partners, leveraging the Foxcatcher "real-world" approach to data and contextual insight to execute digital media campaigns.
John will utilise his specialist skills in operational digital, data, and technology integration with a keen eye for technical, functional detail and end to end project completion.
He will also be responsible for managing relationships with the Foxcatcher key publisher and demand-side platforms (DSP) platforms, working with head of product and solutions Andrew Molan for ensuring connectivity across the Foxcatcher stack.
"Varun joins the team to lead our strategic execution of digital media and bring to life the Foxcatcher vision of simplicity in data and technology," Gaskill says.
"Varun will head the trading team to deliver absolute focus on success for our clients and provide invaluable counsel as the programmatic landscape evolves through 2021."
Varun leaves his current role as senior manager of programmatic product supply at Dentsu to join Foxcatcher.
His previous roles include senior operations manager at Amnet and senior trading strategist at Ctrlshift.
"2020 has been the catalyst for change towards a digital economy, where shifts in consumer behaviour have been the theme," John says.
"With the surge in online spending, the engagement between brands and consumers has never been more important. With data and insights at the helm, executing media strategies with a consumer-centric approach allows us to support our clients' goals and achieve the desired results. I am thrilled to be joining Foxcatcher at such an exciting time."
Foxcatcher is part of the parent group RyanCap led by CEO Simon Ryan and includes digital media agency, Ryvalmedia.
