shEqual, Women’s Health Victoria’s gender equality in advertising program, is launching it's event series Leading Change: From Culture to Content in just over a month's time.
Brand and marketing strategist Angie Bradbury hosts the first event in the series, which is about igniting change and promoting gender equality in the workplace and will take place on Thursday, 24th August 2023.
Attendees will hear from Melissa Fein, CEO of Initiative Australia; Tiffany Clark, head of people at Bullfrog; and Michael McEwan, CEO of M&C Saatchi AUNZ; about the action they've toward achieving gender equality in their workplaces.
Bradbury said the event provides a special opportunity for CEOs and senior leaders to connect, collaborate, and forge valuable connections with like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating a more equal and inclusive industry.
"The event will offer a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by drinks and nibbles, fostering an environment of networking and collaboration,” Bradbury said.
McEwan said as gender equality is strived for across all levels in the communications industry, it is a collective responsibility to work together to create meaningful change.
"I am proud of the progress we have made in our workplace, and I urge my fellow leaders to join us at Leading Change: From Culture to Content, so that we can share experiences, inspire one another, and drive tangible results across our industry," she said.
shEqual is an Australian initiative to use the power of advertising to promote gender equality and address the drivers of violence against women. Working in partnership with Australian advertisers, shEqual’s mission is to raise industry and public awareness, reinforce positive behaviours, and empower people to take action in shaping how women are represented in the stories we tell and consume.
