The Seven Network has cancelled its 7Rewards program and the mobile app will be decommissioned March 17.

The program, launched May 2023, was developed in partnership with The Entertainment Group, the company behind the Entertainment Book app and Enterprise Rewards program Frequent Values.

7Rewards was launched to enhance customer engagement by giving users savings to local businesses.

The program also aimed to enable Seven advertisers to deliver personalised discounts and exclusive local and national offers across dining, travel, retail, leisure and kids activities, and more.

A Seven spokesperson told AdNews confirmed the 7Rewards 'test' is coming to an end.

"It worked well for Seven, but our marketing priorities have changed," the spokesperson said.

"Our objective with 7Rewards was to test a loyalty platform integrated with our registered user base to gain deeper insights into the types of goods and services our audience engages with, further enriching REDiQ. Through this initiative, we successfully delivered $5 million in savings to the 7Rewards user community.”

7Rewards was integrated into Seven’s audience intelligence platform, 7REDiQ.

At the launch Seven’s director of audience intelligence Andrew Brain said the program is the company's way of saying ‘thank you’ by providing benefits and offers.

Members can continue to use the offers within the app until the shutdown date.
