Developed in-house, Sendle's Ship & Save campaign offers an economic lifeline to Australia’s small business community, with discounts of up to 55% as small businesses contend with the highest parcel delivery costs on record.
Helping to amplify the business evolution, the Ship & Save marketing campaign represents a fundamental shift to Sendle’s business and its program, including approach to plans and pricing, and invites small businesses to rethink the way they ship by shopping around.
The campaign was launched after Australia Post announced that it was increasing its parcel and package delivery services by as much as 9.95% — making Australia one of the most expensive countries in the world for domestic shipping.
Sendle’s omnichannel campaign has been driven through a marketing activation via Sendle’s digital channels to drive engagement and encourage small businesses using Australia Post’s MyBusiness to make the switch.
Sendle’s MD for Australia, Laura Hill said small businesses have been hardest hit with higher inflation and interest rates, and Sendle's research shows they lack the education and resources to understand where they can bring down their costs.
"We know that shipping plays such an important part in how small businesses survive and thrive,' she said.
"Ship & Save ensures that shipping is no longer a roadblock to success, but a smooth and seamless journey that adds value and moves businesses forward.”
The ongoing paid social campaign will run across channels such as LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
Drawing on nostalgia and reinforcing its commitment to rewind the clock on parcel delivery prices, Sendle’s video-led marketing campaign features its iconic rubber duck and rabbit mascots which was used to launch its 250-gram pouch in 2022.
Engaging directly with small businesses, Sendle is running a series of webinars targeting existing and prospective customers. The upcoming webinars will cover topics like third-party integrations and how small businesses can automate shipping to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
Jessica Turnbull, Sendle’s director of marketing and communications said Australia’s functional monopoly has stifled competition for shipping and parcel delivery.
"At Sendle, our mission has always been to best deliver for small businesses and our Ship & Save marketing campaign does exactly that," said Turnbull.
"We want to remind businesses that there are alternatives to Australia Post and encourage small businesses to ship and shop around.”
As part of the campaign, Sendle is giving a platform for small businesses to share their success stories, including customers like online fitness shop, The WOD Life, and charity sock brand, Sydney Sock Project.
