Survey 2 radio ratings results from GfK, the official provider of radio ratings for Commercial Radio Australia (CRA), have been released.

In Sydney, KIIS1065 fell to 12.1 from 12.8, while 2GB rose to 11.9 from 11.1. On the breakfast slot, the Kyle & Jackie O Show slipped to 15.1 from 15.9 in Survey 1, while 2GB's Ben Fordham rose to 14.7 from 14.0

In Melbourne, 3AW saw dropped to 16.6 from 17.1, while GOLD 104.3 also fell to 11.7 down from 12.4 in Survey 1. The 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft saw a decline to 21.1 from 22.7, while GOLD104.3 and The Christian O’Connell Show saw their share decrease to 11.1 from 11.5.

Greg Byrnes, Nine Radio’s head of content, said this is a great result for Talk Radio.

"2GB number is one in Sydney, 3AW dominates Melbourne, big gains on 4BC, and more people listening to 6PR's brand new lineup," said Byrnes.

"Survey-on-survey, 2GB's audience is up almost 10% and 4BC's almost 20%. Australians know they can rely on us for trusted live and local content and we thank them for switching us on each day.”

Duncan Campbell, ARN chief content officer said Survey 2 was another great survey result for ARN, particularly in Sydney where Kyle and Jackie O continue to cement their position as "the greatest radio show ever."

"The pair have taken out the top spot overall ahead of 2GB yet again, while also achieving another record cume figure of 854,000 listeners," said Campbell. "Kyle & Jackie O just love what they do and their enthusiasm is infectious which is why their show continues to grow year after year. No one is as connected with their audience as Kyle and Jackie O.

“In Melbourne, GOLD104.3 is a powerhouse – number one FM across breakfast, morning, afternoon, drive and weekends as well. The team down there have done a great job, as has Christian O’Connell who has truly endeared himself to Melbourne audiences, helping propel the station to its 26th survey win. We’re also thrilled to see Will & Woody take the position as the number 1 Drive show nationally, a network first since 2015.”

Ciaran Davis, HT&E CEO & MD, said right across the country, ARN continues to deliver outstanding and consistent results, making ARN the perfect choice for clients seeking all audio solutions with true national reach.

"A huge congratulations to the hardworking teams who excite and engage their audiences each and every day, creating momentson air that stand out and connect with listeners.”
