Melbourne communication agency AJF Partnership has appointed Scott Walker executive creative director (ECD).
Walker's career spans more than 30 years across advertising, TV broadcast, fashion and film production, working in agencies including DDB UK and the Dentsu Aegis Network in Europe.
Walker has won numerous international awards, including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clio, Caples, The MCCA Best Awards, Campaign BIG, DMAs and AWARD, as well as winning a prestigious ASTRA for his work in Australian Television.
At AJF Scott will lead its creative department, developing the overall creative direction for client brands, while inspiring and leading the team to deliver effective and memorable creative that respects and connects with consumers.
AJF managing director Con Frantzeskos said: “Our global ECD search sought a person who could build on, enhance and modernise our creative offering.
“In Scott, I believe we’ve found a leader, a brilliant thinker and someone who has clear ideas on how a modern advertising agency should operate. I am excited he is joining us on this journey.”
Walker said: “I’m delighted to join such a solid and future-facing brand as AJF, and to partner with an inspirational team to help lead the agency to further and broader success for it and its clients.
“While continuing to capitalise on its foundational successes, AJF’s vision for the future, and desire to broaden its scope, is hugely exciting for me to be part of and lead creatively.
“I also feel privileged to be part of the GrowthOps network and the visionary group of businesses and people that sit within its fold.
“Returning to Australia after 14 years working across all four corners of the globe, it’s nice to finally find an agency to call home that truly has a worldly vision but plays locally, and plays very well indeed.”
