Sam McLeod goes from Coles

Advertising industry figure Sam McLeod is leaving her role as general manager, brand, digital & design, at Coles.

Her last day is Friday, Coles says. She is leaving "to pursue external opportunities".

Bianca Mundy, head of marketing- brand & content, will act as GM brand, digital & design on an interim basis.

Leah Weckert, chief executive, commercial & expres, in an email to staff: "I want to thank Sam for her contribution to Coles over the past 15 months, particularly her work in establishing Value the Australian Way, developing this year’s Christmas campaign and communicating our value proposition to customers.

"Sam has also implemented new digital tools across Marketing and played an important part in the creation of our own specialised marketing agency Smith Street, which officially launches in the new year."
