South Australian monthly magazine SALIFE is celebrating its 20-year anniversary.

The publication has showcased the best of Adelaide and South Australia, taking readers inside the state's most spectacular homes and idyllic gardens, while showcasing delicious recipes, the latest in fashion and accessories, and telling stories about the state’s most unique people.

Paul Hamra, managing director of the magazine’s publishing company Solstice Media, said he is so proud of SALIFE and what it has achieved.

"SALIFE has been a glossy window into our state, every month for 20 years, covering and uncovering all the people, places and happenings that form the state’s DNA," Hamra said.

“I don’t think you can get a better picture, from wherever you are, of what South Australia is truly about than flicking through the pages of a SALIFE magazine each month.

“And in the engulfing world of social media, SALIFE is bucking the trend as a printed magazine with consistently strong retail sales, proving its worth as a lifestyle media brand with a very loyal readership."

Brooke Seward, SALIFE director of sales, has been with the publication since its inception in 2003, witnessing its changes, successes, and growth.

"I can’t believe how quickly 20 years have flown by... I always knew the magazine would thrive but it’s so amazing to see just how big it has grown and that it has become a staple in many households and businesses, sitting on their coffee tables, waiting for someone to flick through its pages each month," Seward said.

“In the first year of the release of SALIFE we covered some incredible people and places, including iconic property’s such as Lindsay Park and Collingrove Homestead, and told the stories of interesting people in our food and wine industry such as Grant Burge, Peter Lehmann and Robert Hill-Smith… I particularity loved the story and George and Harry in the June 2004 issue celebrating their journey.

“The success is also thanks to our wonderful advertisers, many who have been with us from the first issue, much like myself – we couldn’t have grown the brand to what it is today without you."
