TV and radio personality Rove McManus is making his screen return on Network Ten for a six-week series, following the debut Bring Back...Saturday Night as part of last year's Pilot Week initiative.

Last year’s Pilot Week saw McManus return to Ten after ten years since the end of his original talk show Rove Live.

The new series, broadcast live in front of a studio audience, Saturday Night Rove will be a comedy hour, as Rove plays host to some of Australia’s top comedians.

‘It’s great to be back doing what I love most, which is causing trouble in a live television studio," McManus says.

"I’m also looking forward to the idea that, whether you are staying in or on your way out, we can be a hub for people to come and hang out on their Saturday night. Plus, our drinks won’t be anywhere near as overpriced."

Joining Rove each week will be series regulars Alex Lee, Alex Jae and Justin Hamilton. Judith Lucy will be presiding over absolutely everything taking on a voiceover role.

Below are the results from last year's first episode as part of Pilot Week:

Bring Back...Saturday Night: A live Saturday night variety show, hosted by Rove McManus. The pilot featured well-known Australian comedians including Judith Lucy and Merrick Watts.

Aired: Saturday 25 August
Ratings: 297,000 national and 203,000 metro
Social media buzz: Trended #4 in Australia, #5 in Sydney, #4 in Perth. Sneak Peek of Delta’s cameo skit had 4,000 views on Facebook, 6,876 views on Twitter and 226 favourites

Sentiment: The return of long-time Ten personality Rove McManus to live TV was met with positive reactions, with viewers happy to see McManus back on their screens, as well as the return of a Saturday night variety program.
Overall, across the week, Twitter impressions increased by 331% and organic Facebook reach increased by 66% week on week.
