Retail media company CitrusAd, part of Publicis' Epsilon, has appointed Roger Dunn senior vice president of business development for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

Dunn's background includes roles as head of e-commerce at MediaCom and the founder of GroupM Commerce, a prominent e-commerce and retail media business under WPP.

He played a crucial role in launching the Criteo retail media business in Australia & New Zealand as head of retail media.

Dunn is also a founding member of the IAB Australia Retail Media Committee.

"Retail media is revolutionising the advertising ecosystem, bringing a high-margin business to retailers, enhancing consumer engagement with first-party data, and unlocking greater accountability via closed-loop measurement," he says.

"I'm excited to join CitrusAd which has been established as the global leader in retail media as part of Epsilon and capitalize on the huge opportunity for further growth across APJ.

"Retailers in the region are blazing a trail with high-quality, high-visibility, and high-efficacy advertising businesses, and I look forward to partnering with them to build out their roadmaps with market-leading technology and experience."

CitrusAd was founded in Australia in 2017 and pioneered retail media with clients such as Coles and Woolworths. Most recently in Asia-Pacific and Japan CitrusAd launched with AEON’s new ecommerce grocer, Green Beans, which uses the Ocado platform.
