Myer's marketing division could be in line for a reshuffle when Daniel Bracken takes on the top job next week.
Bracken is taking on a new role that combines merchandising and marketing for the first time and it's likely to mean some changes in the structure of the team below him.
A spokesperson for Myer wouldn't be drawn on how the rest of the marketing team would be affected by Bracken's leadership, but suggested that as he settles in there may be some changes down the line saying “watch this space”.
It was revealed today in The Australian Financial Review that Megan Foster, the department store chain's former marketing and brand development boss who kicked off the drawn out creative agency review last August, left the chain a few weeks ago “to pursue other opportunities”. The AFR suggested her departure was a result of a number of senior execs being brought in above her.
Myer finally concluded its pitch process appointing Clemenger BBDO Melbourne last week.
The top marketing spot has not had anyone permanent since Megan Foster was moved to the Sass & Bide business late last year.
She was one of the last remaining senior execs from Bernie Brookes' management team from Myer's 2009 flotation and most recently oversaw Myer's new format store division.
