Independent creative agency RedEngine SCC has won the Princess Cruises’ social media and content account.

The agency won the Australia and New Zealand account following a competitive pitch up against incumbent MediaCom.

RedEngine SCC founder and CEO Julian Townley says the agency feels "privileged" to win the account.

“Princess is at an exciting point in its journey and we look forward to helping the brand to charter new and exciting waters," Townley says.

Princess Cruises director of sales and marketing Nick Ferguson says the agency "stood out" with its strong focus on strategy, content and creativity.

"We’re really excited to partner with RedEngine SCC and see our creative strategy evolve as we launch a record season for Princess Cruises this month," Ferguson says.

This is the latest win for RedEnginge SCC, following being appointed to the BaptistCare account earlier in the year.

Princess Cruises is a cruise line owned by Carnival Corporation.

Earlier in the year, MediaCom lost the Carnival Cruise media account to Initiative.

Initiative was appointed to handle the planning and buying portfolio for the cruise organisation, covering cruise lines such as P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Cunard for Australia and New Zealand.
