The Red Cross Blood Service media account is out for pitch, putting Ikon Communications on alert.
AdNews understands the circa $4.6 million account is currently in market, but the Red Cross Blood Service has steadfastly refused to confirm or deny the account is in play.
"We are not in a position to comment at this point in time," a spokesperson said.
The account is separate from the Red Cross account, which has a value of $2 million according to Nielsen estimates.
It is thought a number of Melbourne-based agencies are in the running for the account.
News of the pitch would be unwelcome for Ikon Communications, which is in the middle of a re-structure following the departure of ex-CEO James Greet.
