Self-serve advertising platform Viztrade has launched an ad buying solution for REA, the majority-owned News Corp online housing classifieds group.
The service, Promote, enables an advertiser to market at a hyper-local level to any of the 15,000 searchable suburbs on realestate.com.au, REA's flagship site.
The Viztrade platform will expand advertising sales channels to a broader range of SMEs. The solution cuts the ad buying process to four steps from 12, and the advertiser can load a campaign in just four minutes.
Scott Holmes, innovation and strategy manager for REA Group, said the current digital display advertising landscape is fragmented, complex with expensive legacy systems.
“Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to do business with us, while ensuring our sales team can focus on more complex customer requests," said Holmes.
The Australian local online advertising market reached A$13.9 billion last year, according to the IAB, and 44% of that was from SME advertisers.
“Digital display is an important part of the advertising business for realestate.com.au. Among others, we currently sell advertising space to real estate agents, property developers, marketing agencies, commercial property agents and media agencies," said Holmes.
“We questioned how to best service the SME market where the average spend is around $400 per month, and the Viztrade platform provides the ideal solution. Self-serve advertising was the best solution for REA Group."
