Design and experience business Re has appointed Debbie Spence as its head of strategy, leading an expanded team of brand and strategists.

Spence joins Re, part of the M&C Saatchi Group, at a time of significant growth following the opening of its Melbourne hub and new business wins this year. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in brand strategy and
human centred design.

Re founder and CEO, Patrick Guerrera, said: “We’re thrilled to have Debbie with us and leading a growing team that continues to deliver top strategic thinking for our clients across all stages of their growth cycle. Her experience leading complex strategic programs will be a vital component as we fast track our digital capabilities for our growing client base."

Spence: “I’m endlessly fascinated by the interactions between brands, technology, places and people. Re is a place where we can lead with not just how we do work but the way in which we work together as colleagues, clients and with brands. I’m excited to be joining at this pivotal time of growth as we expand our offer."

Three new strategists are also joining the team, including: Mehnaaz Ahmed, previously a brand strategist at Uberbrand, who joins to focus on Optus; Maxime Delplanque from branding agency Houston who will focus on Woolworths; and former CommBank people consultant Juliana Klein.

The new roles bolster an existing team that includes Max Bon De Veire, now promoted to group strategy director; Ola Olorunnimbe, now senior strategist; and Will Xi.
