Razor Group poaches Ikon client service director, loses GM

Razor Group has hired former Ikon client services director Dave Scott in the same role at the same time as losing its general manager Damien Terakes to Initiative.

Scott joins Razor after spending seven years at Ikon where he led the accounts of brands such as Sony Music, Goodman Fielder and Stockland.

This loss for Ikon comes off the back of several hires made by the media agency with former Naked Communications strategist John Halpin and MediaCom's Naomi Niblett joining the agency in May.

Terakes's joins Initiative as client partner and is Initiative's CEO Lee Leggett's first hire since she joined the agency earlier this year.

Leggett joined Initiative in May and has since focused on the agency’s client partnerships, internal organisation, work and future strategy.

“Having the best people working with our clients is one of my few highest priorities and Damien’s decision to join Initiative shows the calibre of experience and talent I want to attract,” said Leggett. “He is a respected and talented professional who will be a major influence for us."
