Rail infrastructure business Queensland Rail is reviewing its Digital Display signage, AdNews can confirm.

The signage is a communication channel for its operational workforce of 5,000 employees who have limited access to technology such as computers and smartphones.

The signage tender includes:

  1. Hardware – given the presence of existing hardware infrastructure, Queensland Rail may consider either a complete
replacement solution or a gradual phase-out of aging components over time.
  2. Software to support dynamic content delivery, operational flexibility, and integration with current systems.
  3. Maintenance and support including on-site support, off-site support and maintenance for hardware and software.
  4. Project Implementation – the selected vendor is expected to implement the project in strict adherence to Queensland
    Rail’s Project Management Framework.

Following the 2020 Queensland Rail Engage survey, Southeast Queensland (SEQ) has installed close to 50 screens between 2021-22.

There is a potential opportunity to expand this footprint further by installing an additional 19 screens at train station office buildings across the SEQ rail network.

There is also a potential opportunity to integrate the systems/screens in Queensland Rail’s head office buildings in Brisbane’s CBD.

Applications for this tender close March 28 2pm.

A decision will be expected by July 26.
