Queensland Government's $60m master media account is up for pitch, AdNews can reveal.
The incumbent, GroupM's media agency EssenceMediacom, has held the account since 2004 and is expected to defend it.
The account is required to undergo statutory review every few years; the last review was in 2019.
Media services for the account include media rate negotiations, media placement and monitoring, media planning and strategy, production and despatch, campaign evaluation and additional services may be negotiated with the successful supplier.
Applications for agency submissions close 3:00PM on October 10.
The federal government publicly announced an advanced notice that its master media agency account contract, worth $240 million, is coming up for review in July.
Queensland is the third-largest state government account in Australia behind NSW and Victoria and one of the largest media accounts in the state.
Carat and Wavemaker share the South Australia government media account.
OMD holds the $70 million NSW government media contract.
OMD also has the $100 million Victorian government media account.
Initiative and Carat share the $60 million Western Australia government media account.
Atomic 212° has the $10 million Northern Territory government media account.
