QLD win State of Origin as Game 2 cracks 3 million viewers

State of Origin - Game 2 recorded a Total TV audience of 3.178 million, becoming both the second highest rating program of the year and the second highest rating Game 2 since 2018.

Game 2 saw the Queensland Maroons defeat the NSW Blues 32-6 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, sealing the series win.

With a live BVOD audience of 563,000 (up 43% year-on-year and up 5% on Game 1 2023), Game 2 achieved the highest ever live BVOD audience of all time. 

Of the over 3 million viewers tallied last night, 1.83 million came via metro and 783,00 via regional. 

State of Origin - Game 2 won its timeslot with all key demos and Total People across the 5 City Metro and all metro capitals. The 9Network and Channel 9 also won Wednesday with all key demos and Total People.

Game 3 will be played on Wednesday 12 July at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
