Publicis Sapient, Publicis Groupe’s digital business transformation company, has acquired Tquila ANZ, one of Australia’s leading Salesforce consultancies.
Commercial details of the deal haven't been announced.
Tquila, headquartered in Sydney, is driving many engagements in multi-cloud solutions such as Salesforce Industries and MuleSoft, areas across Australian federal government, healthcare and private sector clients.
The acquisition will ramp up Publicis Sapient’s local Salesforce capabilities, while continuing to strengthen the company's global distributed delivery model.
For Tquila ANZ, the move will enable its clients to access Publicis Sapient’s full suite of market-leading digital business transformation services.
The entire Tquila ANZ team will join Publicis Sapient, with chairman of Tquila ANZ John Cassidy, chief technical officer Amit Chakraborty and founders Ian Carpenter and Damian Noonan taking on senior roles as part of the Publicis Sapient Salesforce Practice across Australia and New Zealand.
Nigel Vaz, CEO of Publicis Sapient, said: "I'm excited to welcome Tquila ANZ to Publicis Sapient.
“Tquila ANZ is a strategic acquisition which continues to build the foundation for our strong growth in the APAC region and further expansion of our Salesforce partnership globally.”
John Cassidy, chairman of Tquila ANZ, said that the acquisition gives Tquila ANZ’s clients access to Publicis Sapient’s scale, with complementary access to its Salesforce expertise and broad cross cloud capabilities.
Cassidy said: "We’re thrilled to be able to combine our strengths - this acquisition gives our clients access to Publicis Sapient’s team of 20,000 professionals across 53 offices.
"This expanded capability will enable larger scale implementation projects for our client portfolio, as well as customer-orientated digital business transformation as a new offering."
Claire Canham (Rawlins), managing director at Publicis Sapient Australia, said: "We are delighted not only with the great talent joining us, but with the alignment of our cultures.
"Tquila shares our values and fabric of curiosity, creativity, authenticity, empathy and community."
The global Salesforce economy will create USD 1.6 trillion (AUD2.2 trillion/NZD2.3 trillion) in new business revenues and over nine million new jobs between 2021-2026, a rise of more than 350% over that period, according to analyst firm IDC. ANZ’s portion of that total will sit at around AUD 48.6 billion and New Zealand’s will grow to NZD 9.7 billion.
Publicis Sapient and Tquila have a strong track record of success building Salesforce capability together. In 2019, the two companies created a Salesforce-focused joint venture (JV) in the United Kingdom with Publicis Sapient eventually acquiring the JV in 2020. This partnership allowed Publicis Sapient to quickly scale Salesforce expertise in the region.
Publicis Sapient’s Tquila ANZ acquisition follows the company’s acquisition last year of Changi Consulting, a cloud solutions company and a top five Salesforce partner in the MENA region, with the aim of further growing its footprint in the Middle East, expanding its Salesforce capabilities globally and strengthening its global distributed delivery model.
