Integrated creative experience agency Popology is expanding operations to Melbourne’s experiential
marketing scene, appointing Jason O’Donnell general manager, Melbourne.

He was most recently a senior leader at DEPT®, where he led marketing and creative strategy across Asia-Pacific and was instrumental in the agency’s growth in the region.

Before that, his 15-year tenure at Village Roadshow saw him lead large-scale projects that blended creative storytelling with commercial success.

"I’m super excited to join the team at Popology," said O’Donnell.

"Live activations and real-world interactions build emotional connections in ways that digital alone simply can’t. Melbourne is a global hub for major events, sport, and culture, making it the perfect place for brands to engage audiences in truly immersive ways.

"Popology is redefining experiential marketing by seamlessly blending creativity, technology, and flawless execution. I’m looking forward to leading the Melbourne team and helping some of the world’s most iconic brands create unforgettable experiences."

Lucy Koops, business director at Popology, said O’Donnel's experience, leadership, and deep understanding of brand strategy will be a huge asset.

"As we continue to expand, having Jason on board ensures we can provide even greater support, creativity, and strategic insight."

Jade Wood, managing director of Popology, said Jason brings a rare combination of creative vision and strategic expertise.

"His ability to blend storytelling with data-driven insights ensures that every activation we create is not only engaging but also delivers real impact for our clients. We’re excited for what’s ahead."
