Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for July has been released, with Hamish & Andy (LiSTNR [SCA]) claiming the number one spot for the fifth straight month in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.
While the 942,784 monthly listeners are slightly down from the June 2022 rankings, it was still well ahead of the competition yet again; Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime came in at second with 809,029 monthly listeners.
The Teacher’s Trial continued its rise up the rankings, with the News Corp Australia podcast taking out the number three spot in both rankers with 462,057 monthly listeners.
Another podcast that rose three places between June and July was Schwartz Media’s 7am. The daily news show from the publisher of The Monthly and The Saturday Paper came in at fourth place with 433,434 monthly listeners to go along with over 1.5 million monthly downloads.
The Kyle & Jackie O Show dropped two places to round out the top five; the ARN/iHeart mainstay tallied 342,071 monthly listeners and over 1.6 million monthly downloads.
ARN/iHeart's Stuff You Should Know continued its reign as the most downloaded podcast by month, racking up over 2.8 million monthly downloads.
SCA's executive head of podcasting, Grant Tothill, said.“July’s Podcast Ranker is a great result for LiSTNR podcasts. It’s great to see the team’s hard work over the last month create the number 1 Comedy Podcast, the number 1 Entertainment and Culture Podcast, the number 1 News Podcast, the Number 1 Sport Podcast as well as the Number 1 Factual and Drama Podcast."
The top three publishers remain unchanged from June, with ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia in first, LiSTNR (SCA) in second, and Audioboom in third. ARN claimed over 3.3 million monthly listeners and over 17.7 million monthly downloads.

The Ranker provides insight into the Top 100 Podcasts as well as the Top 10 Publishers in Australia from 1 July through 31 July, 2022, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
