Optus pitch to be decided by June
Top ten advertiser Optus will deliver an outcome for its creative and media pitch by June, AdNews can reveal.
An Optus spokesperson told AdNews "we're in a procurement led process with an expected outcome by June 2025".
The pitch is being run by Optus' internal procurement team.
Accenture is the frontrunner for the media account, industry insiders tell AdNews.
Wesfarmers department store chain Kmart has appointed Clemenger BBDO its new creative agency, AdNews can reveal.
This win marks the first for the newly merged agency, which absorbed CHEP Network and activation agency Traffik this month.
Clemenger BBDO, led by CEO Lee Leggett, will work across brand and key retail campaigns for the Australian retailer.
TK Maxx hunts for new creative agency
American off-price department store chain TK Maxx is pitching its local creative account, AdNews can reveal.
The pitch is close to a decision, insiders close to the account tell AdNews, with a shortlist of three agencies.
Earlier stages saw a shortlist of eight agencies, insiders say, seeing one agency turn down the process due to the amount of parties involved.
Incumbent independent agency Howatson+Company has held the account since 2022 after a pitch.
Howatson+Co did not re-pitch for the account, AdNews understands, as the agency won competitor brand Myer earlier this year.
Match & Wood retains Snooze media account
Independent media agency Match & Wood has retained retailer Snooze's media account following a pitch, AdNews can reveal.
The $20 million account, which covers media strategy, planning, and buying across traditional and digital media first moved to Match & Wood in 2022 after 14 years with Starcom.
Initiative wins Aspen Pharmacare pitch
Initiative has been appointed, following a pitch, media agency of record for healthcare company Aspen Pharmacare Australia, working across brands Maltofer, Coloxyl, Ural and Dymadon.
Initiative’s remit includes all media buying, planning and strategy, as Aspen Australia seeks to grow its market leading position in a highly competitive and regulated market.
Jo McAlister, CEO Initiative said Aspen Australia’s entrepreneurial spirit aligns with Initiative’s culture and people and already the collaboration between the teams is evident.
Enigma Media wins GigaComm pitch
Independent full-service agency Enigma’s Media division has been appointed by independent telecommunications infrastructure company GigaComm to lead its media strategy, planning and buying, including all performance media.
Following a competitive pitch, Enigma Media will help drive GigaComm’s expansion to more apartments and businesses across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
303 MullenLowe wins Levande Retirement Living pitch
National retirement operator Levande has appointed 303 MullenLowe its strategic, creative and branding partner, following a competitive pitch.
The appointment will see the agency work towards launching a long-term brand platform for Levande Retirement Living. 303 MullenLowe’s remit covers brand strategy and creative, as well as brand design, social and experience.
Ogilvy NZ wins Silver Fern Farms pitch
New Zealand premium red meat company Silver Fern Farms has appointed Ogilvy NZ global agency partner.
Following a competitive pitch, Ogilvy NZ will be tasked with leading the global masterbrand development, managing a team of creatives, strategists and brand specialists from across Ogilvy’s world-wide network.
Adcore wins Global Retail Brands pitch
Global Retail Brand has appointed full service agency Adcore to manage its performance media, SEO, and affiliate marketing following a highly competitive pitch for the multi-million dollar account.
The retail company includes brands such as House, Baccarat, Bessemer, MyHouse, and Robin's Kitchen, with more than 250 stores nationwide.
Full-service agency The Pistol has been appointed to the media account for Swiss coffee machine maker JURA.
The agency will handle paid media for JURA Australia, covering search, social media, programmatic advertising, and out-of-home. It will also manage project-based creative and assist with trade and retail partnerships.
Claxon wins Australian Mentoring Services
Australian Mentoring Services (AMS) has appointed Claxon digital and creative agency of record.
Claxon’s remit includes creation of AMS’s new brand strategy and visual identity including design of a new and intuitive website, plus ongoing creative as the company continues with its ongoing growth strategy.
