MLC is about to get a new creative agency
Insurance company MLC - which includes super, investment, retirement and insurance - is close to choosing a new creative agency, AdNews revealed.
An industry insider says the brand is looking for a bespoke agency.
The pitch, reportedly started six months ago, was confirmed to AdNews by a MLC spokesperson.
Mindshare has extended its partnership with Foxtel Group for another three years.
The agency will continue to lead Foxtel Group’s media strategy, connections planning and media buying for all offline channels across a portfolio of entertainment and sports brands.
Havas retains Avis Budget Group
Havas Media and Havas Red have won the respective media and PR accounts for Avis Budget Group, AdNews revealed.
The car hire company started working with Havas in 2018 firstly with PR, while Ikon handled media, creative and strategy.
Havas will handle the Avis, Budget, and Apex brands for the next three-years, providing integrated digital performance, partnership activation and media amplification while Havas Red will lead earned PR in Australia.
Digital consultancy G Squared has been appointed by online marketplace Gumtree to drive search and deliver improved customer experiences
Gumtree appointed G Squared following a multi-agency competitive pitch, with the Sydney-based independent tasked with managing search engine optimisation through organic search, as well as identifying opportunities across key verticals to grow site traffic and conversions.
Wavemaker wins Allianz $20M account amid global pitch
Wavemaker has won the media pitch for insurer Allianz Group locally, AdNews revealed.
Publicis Groupe's Spark Foundry is the incumbent in Australia, but did not participate in the global pitch.

Sydney Airport advertising rights up for pitch
Advertising rights to Sydney Airport's domestic and international terminals is about to open for pitch, according to industry insiders.
JCDecaux in 2019 renegotiated the exclusive advertising rights for terminals 1, 2 and 3, plus the external arrivals and departures areas and aerobridges. The deal with Sydney Airport was originally with APN (which JCDecaux acquired).
Tourism Australia creative pitch down to three
Tourism Australia's creative pitch is down to a shortlist of three agency groups, AdNews reveals.
For the first time the national tourism marketing body has moved to a panel model, where agencies partner with one or more agencies to pitch for both the creative and digital account.
As one of the most high profile and prestigious accounts in Australia, news from the pitch is thin with agencies taking part signing a strict non disclosure agreement.

Internet service provider Superloop has appointed Zenith Australia to manage its media strategy, planning, buying and research across all channels.
The appointment signifies the consolidation of the account under Publicis Groupe, with Leo Burnett already managing creative duties, launching the ‘Refresh Your Internet’ brand platform in March this year. Publicis digital agency Digitas will also be engaged on a project basis to provide digital transformation solutions for the business.
Archibald Williams wins NBA account for APAC
Independent brand and digital agency Archibald Williams has been appointed to lead the NBA account across the APAC region.
Effective immediately, Archibald Williams (AW) will work across all digital, activation and fan engagement comms to encourage people to watch, wear and play the game.
The NBA is supporting the Australian market with a local agency for the first time, which is a growing and important market for it.

Five by Five wins account of Australian wagyu producer Arubial
Five by Five Global has won the account of Arubial, a specialist in Australian wagyu beef.
Arubial, a family business since 1906, briefed the agency to develop its brand platform and launch with a website and content management system.

Profit-to-member superannuation fund Rest has engaged independent creative agency Reunion to simplify and enhance the experience for its nearly two million members.
BMF is the incumbent.
